The deadline for submitting applications for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level exam for the year 2021 has been extended.

Accordingly, the closing date of the applications for the examination is now the 3rd of February, the Commissioner-General of Examinations L.M.D. Dharmasena said.

Private candidates can submit their applications online, through the official website of the department (www.doenets.lk), mobile app “Exams Sri Lanka” or via www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic by following the given guidelines.

The applications of school candidates should also be sent in online, using the username and the password already provided to the principals of their respective schools.

All candidates are requested to keep a printed copy of the application with them.

The exam is scheduled to take place from May 23, 2022 (Monday) to June 01, 2022 (Wednesday).

Meanwhile, the one-day service of issuing examination certificates will be temporarily suspended from January 24 until further notice, the Examinations Department announced in a separate notice.

It said the department’s staff members have been deployed at maximum capacity for related duties of Grade 5 Scholarship Exam, held today (Jan. 22), and G.C.E. Advanced Level Exam, scheduled to be held from Feb. 07 to March 05.

Accordingly, facilities have been provided to apply for certificates through online method and via e-mails only. The certificates will be forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or to the applicant’s address via express post as required.

Further details can be obtained from the official website of the Examinations Department.

Certificates can also be applied through the official mobile app of the department, “Exams Sri Lanka” as well.
