Debutant Oshada Fernando slammed an unbeaten 78 to take Sri Lanka to a total of 147/7 in 20 overs in the third and final match of the T20I series in Lahore.

Danushka Gunathilaka and Sadeera Samarawickrama opened the innings for the islanders, whereas Imad Wasim and Usman Shinwari shared the new ball for the hosts.

Sri Lanka did not start any differently than they had in the first two matches, with a couple of early boundaries forcing captain Sarfaraz Ahmed to change bowlers instantly.

Fernando finished unbeaten at 78 off just 48 balls. The stylish right-hander hit 8 fours and 3 sixes as Sri Lanka finished at 147-7 in their 20 overs.

Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first.

Top-ranked Pakistan are facing a rare 3-0 whitewash in this bilateral series.

They will chase 148 to register their first win of the series.
