
Sri Lankan batsmen Kusal Mendis and Avishka Fernando both scored centuries to help Sri Lanka pile up over 230 runs against West Indies in the second ODI of the series at Sooriyawewa.
Mendis reached his hundred, his second ODI century, in the 36th over in just 108 deliveries. It is his first ODI hundred since March 2017.
Meanwhile his partner in crime, Avishka Fernando reached his century in the following over and he did so in just 109 balls.
This is also Fernando’s second ODI hundred. Both his centuries have come against West Indies, the first having come against them in the World Cup last year.
Sri Lanka were 227/2 at the end of the 39th over a short while ago.
West Indies chose to bowl first after winning the toss earlier today.
