The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has published a gazette notification stipulating the new maximum retail price (MRP) for eggs.
Accordingly, a white egg will now be sold at an MRP of Rs. 44 and a brown egg for Rs. 46.
The gazette notification, issued by CAA chairman Shantha Niriella, notes that the MRP on eggs comes into effect from today (Jan. 20).
