Four individuals who were on their way to excavate treasure have been arrested in an operation carried out by the Police Special Task Force (STF) officers in Karadiyanaru.
Among the arrestees were a Chief Inspector (CI) attached to Mirihana police station and three civilians.
The STF officers have impounded a scanner used in excavations from the possession of the suspects.
