The Colombo High Court on Thursday (06 July) sentenced a Nigerian national to death on drug possession charges.
Accordingly, the death penalty was sanctioned against the individual on charges of possession and trafficking cocaine.
The relevant order was issued by Colombo High Court Judge Namal Ballle, after the individual was arrested while in possession of 245 grams of cocaine.
