India won the second ODI against Sri Lanka by four wickets today (12 Jan.), with K.L Rahul and Hardik Pandya securing a 75-run partnership.

Despite having won the toss and electing to bowl, Sri Lanka put up a paltry score of 215, with only bowler Kasun Rajitha remaining on the field.

The visitors threw away an excellent start, and got bundled out on an excellent batting surface, which was the very reason as to why the team elected to bat first.

India had a breezy start, but then lost wickets in a heap, standing at a score of 86 for the loss of four wickets, reigniting some hope for the Lankans in their efforts with the ball.

Rahul and Pandya shut the door on them, however, with the former remaining on the field, was Pandya was out for 36 runs.

Although the two teams are scheduled to meet on 15 January on the field of the Greenfield Cricket Stadium in Kerala, India, the hosts have sealed a series win in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
