Just Fontaine, the all-time top scorer in a single World Cup tournament with 13 goals, has died aged 89, his family told AFP on Wednesday.
Fontaine achieved the record in the 1958 tournament in Sweden where Les Bleus reached the semi-finals for the first time in their history.
The prolific striker netted 30 goals from 21 caps for France between 1953 and 1960.
