Advisory issued for heavy rains in four districts

The Department of Meteorology has issued an ‘Amber’ level advisory for heavy rains in Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and Kalutara district.
As per the advisory, showery weather condition is expected to enhance over the island due to an atmospheric disturbance over Southeast Bay of Bengal Sea area.
Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Kalutara, district, according the Met. Department.
