
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl Saturday in the third and deciding Twenty20 cricket international against Sri Lanka at the Sir John Davies Oval.
The pitch for the match has not previously been used and captain Tom Latham said he hoped New Zealand could take advantage of any early assistance to put Sri Lanka under pressure.
The series is tied at 1-1 after Sri Lanka won the first match in a super over and New Zealand won the second by nine wickets.
Both teams made one change to their lineups from the second match of the series.
New Zealand brought in seamer Matt Henry for Henry Shipley. Sri Lanka also made a change to its pace attack, naming Lahiru Kumara for Dilshan Madushanka.
