Ireland bowled out for 492 in second Test

Ireland fell just short of the 500-run mark after being bowled out for a total of 492 runs in first innings of the second Test against Sri Lanka.
Despite Ireland’s openers not having contributed much to the game, both the middle and the lower-middle order were brilliant with the bat.
Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie added over 100 runs to the visitor’s score , before Stirling went back retired hurt. Balbirnie, however, was unfortunate to not get his ton as he fell five short.
Resuming his innings, Stirling hit his ton with 103 runs, while the visitor’s Curtis Campher secured a total of 111 runs under his wing.
Sri Lanka’s now under pressure and will be forced to replicate what they did with the bat in the first Test against Ireland.
