
Wildlife Officers across the country have decided to engage in a token strike today (Dec. 18).
The President of the All Ceylon Wildlife Officers’ Association, Prabhash Karunathilake said that the trade union action will be taken based on several demands including ensuring the safety of wildlife officers.
Meanwhile, ambulance drivers in the Central Province have also decided to go on strike tomorrow (Dec. 19).
The President of the Ambulance and Transport Drivers’ Association, Sampath Karunaratne explained that they have decided to carry out this strike on both Tuesday (19) and Wednesday (20), protesting against the transfer procedure carried out by the Central Province Governor.
