Train operations on upcountry line hampered

All train operations on the upcountry line have been disrupted after a mound of earth collapsed onto the railway track.
The Sri Lanka Railways Department stated that the mound of earth had collapsed onto the railway track in between the Bandarawela and Kinigama Railway Stations.
Despite the disruption, the department has assured the public that efforts are afoot to promptly remove the mound of earth from the railway track and restore normal operations.
