61-year-old woman arrested with narcotic pills

A female suspect, 61, was arrested by the Police Special Task Force (STF) on Monday (22 Jan.), in connection with an alleged racket involving narcotic pills.
According to Police, the suspect was arrested in Kolonnawa, Wellampitiya, based on a tip-off received by the special anti-drug operation ‘Yukthiya’.
At the time of her arrest, police further reported that the suspect had been in possession of 89 non-prescribed, illegal narcotic pills.
Further investigations have been handed over to the Wellampitiya Police.
