A person has been hacked to death with sharp weapons in the Kudawella area of Tangalle.
The deceased person has been identified as a 50-year-old father-of-one, the police said.
Police suspect that the motive behind the murder was a personal dispute.
Tangalle Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
