IGP Deshabandu pledges more efficient continuation of ‘Yukthiya’ operation

The countrywide operation ‘Yukthiya’, initiated to crack down on narcotics and criminal activities, will be continued more efficiently and robustly, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon said.
Furthermore, Tennakoon, emphasizing that the criminals, traffickers and the underworld are yet to be rooted out from the country, promised to arrest and bring them to book within a very short period of time.
The IGP made these remarks following a visit to the Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy this morning (02).
