Three killed in head-on collision in Pothuhera

Three individuals have died in a tragic road accident involving a three-wheeler and lorry near the Bulugolla Junction in Pothuhera.
According to the police, a lorry travelling from Kurunegala to Colombo had collided head-on with a three-wheeler on Tuesday night (March 05).
Four people who were inside the three-wheeler had been rushed to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital with critical injuries, however, three of them later died while receiving treatment.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been established, the police said.
Meanwhile, the driver of the lorry is now under arrest in connection with the fatal accident.
Pothuhera Police is conducting further investigations.
