A person has reportedly died after being hit by a train traveling from Matara to Galle.
The accident had occurred near the Nupe railway crossing in Matara last evening (16).
Police said that the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed as of yet.
The body has been placed in the mortuary of the Matara Hospital.
