Woman’s body found in canal in Colombo

The body of an unidentified woman has been recovered from a waste water canal in Grandpass, Colombo.
Police said the body was found based on information received last evening (29).
The deceased, believed to be between the ages 45 and 50, is around 4 feet and 9 inches in height while she was wearing a red dress with yellow flowers.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained and the body is currently placed at the Colombo National Hospital.
Further investigations are ongoing in this regard, police said.
