The Court of Appeal has granted permission to proceed with the examination of a revision petition filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, seeking to set aside an order issued by the Colombo High Court.
The High Court order had determined that the conspiracy charge filed against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act could be maintained.
Accordingly, the Court of Appeal has fixed the petition for consideration on June 16, said Ada Derana reporter.
The order was made following an extensive examination of the facts presented in the petition before the Court of Appeal today.
