Highest rainfall of 118.80 mm recorded in Nuwara Eliya District: DMC

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) states that the highest rainfall of 118.80 mm was recorded in the Nuwara Eliya District during the 24-hour period ending at 6:00 a.m. today.
According to the DMC, the 118.80 mm rainfall was reported from the Thelissagala and Hunugal Oya areas in the Kotmale Divisional Secretariat Division of the district.
In addition, significant rainfall was recorded in several other areas, including Watawala in the Nuwara Eliya District, which received 82 mm of rain, Kegalle with 70 mm, and Eratta in the Ratnapura District with 62 mm.
