A 10-hour water cut will be imposed in several areas in Kalutara today (10), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced.
Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended from 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. today for residents of Kalutara, Wadduwa, Matugama, Beruwala, Aluthgama and Payagala.
The NWSDB attributed the water cut to a scheduled disruption in the electricity supply to the Kethhena Water Treatment Plant.
Meanwhile, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced that a 14-hour water cut will be imposed within the Galle Municipal Council area today.
Issuing a statement, the NWSDB said that the water supply to the area will be suspended from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. due to essential maintenance work being carried out at the Wakwella Water Treatment Plant.
