Fire breaks out at bakery in Wellampitiya

A fire broke out at a bakery in Wellampitiya at around 4.45 p.m. today (21), causing extensive damage to the building.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control.
Police said the upper floor of the bakery was completely destroyed in the fire.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the fire may have been caused by a gas cylinder leak.
Wellampitiya Police are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
