Mbappe nets another World Cup brace as France cruises into round of 32

Kylian Mbappe scored twice, taking his World Cup tally to 16 goals in as many matches, as France took care of business with a 3-0 win over Iraq on Monday to reach the World Cup knockout stages.

 

Ousmane Dembele capped the scoring in Philadelphia.

 

The game was paused for over two hours due to severe weather, but the long delay didn't hamper Les Bleus, as they stayed perfect after two matches to punch their ticket to the next round.

 

Mbappe is the first French player to score multiple goals in three consecutive men's World Cup games, going back to the 2022 final in Qatar - where he recorded a hat-trick - and now France's opening two outings this summer.
