Online applications open for re-scrutiny of 2025 O/L results

The Ministry of Education stated that applications for the re-scrutiny of the 2025 (2026) General Certificate of Education (G.C.E.) Ordinary Level (O/L) examination results will be accepted from today (June 25) until July 08.

 

According to the Ministry, both school and private candidates must submit their applications online individually, and applications submitted through any other method will not be accepted.

 

Candidates are required to apply by visiting the official website of the Department of Examinations, www.doenets.lk, and selecting the “Exam Information Centre” under “Our Services”.

 

The Ministry further stated that those who already have user accounts should log in using their examination number and National Identity Card (NIC) number, while new users without an account must register using their NIC number and mobile phone number.

 

The Department of Examinations has also advised candidates to carefully read the technical and general instructions and watch the instructional video before completing the application form.

 

The re-scrutiny fee is Rs. 200 per subject and can be paid via credit card, debit card or at post offices, the statement said. 

 

After payment, candidates are required to download and retain the application form in PDF format, while an SMS notification will also be issued.

 

The Department further noted that candidates can submit the online application only once and that the fee will not be refunded after payment.
