Indika Jayalath, who served as the Vice Chairman of the Agalawatta Pradeshiya Sabha, has decided to resign from his position.
He informed the Chairman of his decision by submitting a letter outlining the reasons for his resignation.
In the letter, Jayalath cited several reasons for his decision, including the failure to implement the Agalawatta urban development plan, the failure to secure a court complex for Agalawatta, the lack of space allocated for the proposed new police station, the failure to establish a trade centre in the Yatiyana area, and the failure to remove the disaster management building.
The letter further stated that he is also resigning from the Finance and Policy Committee and the Technical Services Committee.
