Unidentified body found floating in canal at Sahaspura
The body of an unidentified man has been discovered floating in a canal in the Halgahawatta area within the Sahaspura Police Division, police said.
Investigations were launched after Sahaspura Police received information about the body yesterday (27).
Police said the identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
The deceased is believed to be a man aged around 55 years, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with white hair. He was dressed in a black shirt and black trousers at the time he was found.
The body has been placed at the mortuary of the Colombo National Hospital for further inquiries, while Sahaspura Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
