The former Chairperson of the National Lotteries Board (NLB), Shyamila Perera has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

 

She was arrested by the Bribery Commission over alleged corruption during her tenure at the state institution.

 

CIABOC said the arrest relates to allegations that Shyamila Perera assigned three officers recruited to the National Lotteries Board to work in the office of then-Minister Ravi Karunanayake instead of deploying them within the NLB.
