Woman dies after alleged assault by husband following domestic dispute
A 29-year-old woman has died after sustaining serious injuries in an alleged assault by her husband following a domestic dispute in the Bimpokuna area of Aralaganwila Police Division.
According to the Aralaganwila Police, the incident had occurred last night (03).
The victim has been admitted to the Aralaganwila Hospital in critical condition but later had succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased has been identified as a 29-year-old resident of Bimpokuna, Aralaganwila, according to police.
Police have launched further investigations and are taking steps to arrest the suspect, who is the victim's husband.
