Youth arrested with foreign cigarettes, liquor bottles and e-cigarette liquid in Kiribathgoda
A 27-year-old suspect has been arrested in the Hunupitiya area of Kiribathgoda for allegedly possessing a large stock of duty-free foreign cigarettes, bottles of foreign liquor and liquid used for electronic cigarettes.
The arrest was made yesterday (04), during a raid carried out by officers attached to the Kiribathgoda Police Station.
Police had recovered 14,600 sticks of duty-free cigarettes, 28 bottles of foreign liquor and 71.8 kilograms of liquid chemicals believed to be used for electronic cigarettes.
The suspect has been identified as a resident of Hunupitiya, police said.
Kiribathgoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
