The house of a notorious underworld figure known as "Thembili Lahiru" has been set ablaze by an unidentified group in Kudagalara, Middeniya last night (08), police said.
According to reports, Thembili Lahiru’s mother was inside the house when the fire broke out. However, she escaped unharmed.
The motive behind the arson has not yet been established.
Middeniya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
