The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, made his first official call on the President of Sri Lanka and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat recently.

 

During this courtesy call, held in keeping with established protocol, the President extended his best wishes to Vice Admiral Damian Fernando on his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy and wished him success in the discharge of his duties in the new role.

 

The Commander of the Navy presented a memento to the President to mark the significance of the occasion, according to the Sri Lanka Navy.
