Man arrested with 5,575 Bottles of illegally stored liquor in Mullaitivu

An individual has been arrested with 5,575 bottles of liquor allegedly stored illegally during a joint operation carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Mullaitivu Police Special Task Force.

 

The operation was conducted in Puthukkudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu, based on intelligence information received by Sri Lanka Naval Ship Gotabhaya under the Eastern Naval Command.

 

The arrested suspect has been identified as a 43-year-old resident of Mullaitivu.

 

According to the Sri Lanka Navy, the suspect along with the seized stock of illegally stored liquor has been handed over to the Mullaitivu Excise Department Office for further legal proceedings.
