Derana 360°, the flagship political affairs programme of TV Derana, has been named Best Political Programme at the 31st Sumathi Awards, held this evening (15) at the Monarch Imperial Hotel in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.

Hosted by Kalindu Karunaratne, Derana 360° has established itself as one of Sri Lanka's leading political interview programmes, featuring weekly discussions with politicians, policymakers, public officials and other prominent figures on key national issues.

The programme was recognised for its exemplary coverage of political developments and current affairs.

Ada Derana also emerged as one of the night's top-performing news organisations, securing multiple awards across several categories in recognition of its journalism and current affairs programming.

The Ada Derana network won the awards for Best Investigative News Reporting and Best Current Affairs Reporting, highlighting its contributions to news coverage and public affairs reporting.

In the individual awards category, Parindya Gunasekara of Ada Derana was adjudged Best News Presenter (female), in recognition of her work as a Sinhala news anchor.

Meanwhile, Rebuild Sri Lanka, an Ada Derana current affairs programme directed by Rukmal Mallawa, received the award for Best Current Affairs Programme.
