Shooting reported at Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia public cemetery
An individual has been hospitalized after being injured in a shooting incident reported within the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia public cemetery, police said.
According to police, two suspects who arrived on a motorcycle entered the Dehiwala–Mount Lavinia public cemetery and opened fire at an individual who was present at the location before fleeing the scene.
The victim, who sustained gunshot injuries, was admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Police have launched investigations into the incident.
