Father of alleged organized crime figure shot at Mount Lavinia cemetery
An individual identified as the father of an alleged organized crime figure known as “Sando” was shot inside the Nisala Sevana Public Cemetery in Mount Lavinia at around 3:25 p.m. today (19), police said.
The victim is reportedly a resident of Oban Place in Dehiwala.
Police stated that two individuals wearing helmets to conceal their identities entered the cemetery on a scooter-type motorcycle, carried out the shooting, and fled the scene.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the attack was carried out using a 9mm firearm.
The victim sustained gunshot injuries to his left arm and chest and is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital in Kalubowila.
