Turkish woman falls from train in Ambewela during selfie attempt
A Turkish national has been seriously injured after falling from a moving train while attempting to take a selfie in Ambewela.
The incident occurred earlier today (19) when the woman was travelling on a train operating from Nanu Oya to Badulla.
According to reports, the woman was among three Turkish nationals travelling on the train. She fell from the train while attempting to take a selfie.
Following the incident, she was admitted to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital with serious injuries and was later transferred to the Kandy National Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
