Three-vehicle collision on Panadura-Horana Road leaves two injured
Two individuals have been injured following a three-vehicle collision on the Panadura-Horana Road at the Kurusa Junction in Alubomulla this evening (20), police stated.
The accident involved a lorry, a luxury jeep and another car. The injured lorry driver and assistant were admitted to the Panadura Base Hospital for treatment.
Police said the lorry, which was travelling from the Bandaragama direction, attempted to overtake another vehicle before veering to the right side of the road and colliding with the jeep. The lorry subsequently collided with another car travelling behind it.
The collision obstructed traffic along the road, causing heavy congestion in the area. Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
