The leader of the Sarvajana Balaya, Member of Parliament Dilith Jayaweera met Turkish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Dr. Semih Lütfü Turgut at the Turkish Embassy in Colombo on a special invitation extended by the envoy.
The discussions focused on the current international political situation, regional and global developments and opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and the Republic of Türkiye.
The meeting also explored potential cooperation from Türkiye in support of Sri Lanka's vision of becoming an entrepreneurial state. Both sides exchanged views on expanding collaboration in the areas of trade, investment, economic development and other sectors of mutual interest.
They also discussed ways to further enhance economic, trade and development cooperation between the two countries.
Media Secretary of the Sarvajana Balaya Hasan Alaldeen was also present at the meeting.
