
Sri Lanka’s passport has improved its position in the global rankings, moving up to 94th place in the 2026 Henley Passport Index.
Sri Lanka was ranked 96th in the index in both 2025 and 2024, while the country’s passport was placed 107th in 2021, 102nd in 2022, and 100th in 2023.
The Henley Passport Index measures the strength of passports worldwide based on the number of countries and territories their holders can enter without obtaining a prior visa.
Singapore has secured the top position in the 2026 rankings, with Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates sharing the second position.
Afghanistan has been ranked last in the index, according to the latest Henley Passport Index report.
