
The Department of Examinations has announced that the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination will be held from August 10 to September 5 at 2,532 examination centers across the island.
Admission cards for school candidates have already been forwarded to the relevant Zonal Education Offices. School principals are required to collect the admission cards from the Deputy or Assistant Director of Education in charge of examinations at their respective Zonal Education Offices.
Meanwhile, admission cards for private candidates are being dispatched by post to their registered residential addresses.
The department has also opened the online admission card correction process for both school and private candidates.
For school candidates, principals can make any necessary amendments by logging into the official website of the Department of Examinations using the username and password provided to them, it said.
Private candidates who identify any errors in their admission cards can also submit corrections online by accessing the same website and entering their National Identity Card (NIC) number.
The Department of Examinations further stated that any corrections to admission card details must be submitted before 12.00 midnight on August 3, emphasizing that the deadline is final and will not be extended under any circumstances.
