According to the Department of Meteorology, showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts tomorrow.
Cloudy skies will prevail over these areas, the Met. Department said.
Fairly heavy rainfall of above 75 mm is likely at some places in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the Galle, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Several spells of showers may occur in the North Western Province.
Strong winds of about 40–50 kmph can be expected at times over the North Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central, and North Western provinces and in the Trincomalee District.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary, localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
