22-year-old motorcyclist dies in Giriulla road accident
A 22-year-old motorcyclist has died in a road accident in the Pahala Katugampala area of Giriulla.
Police said the accident had occurred when the motorcycle, travelling at speed, collided with the rear of a trailer attached to a tractor travelling ahead.
The motorcyclist had sustained serious injuries in the accident and had succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Dambadeniya Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as a 22-year-old resident of the Dambadeniya area, police said.
Giriulla Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
