Strong winds of up to 40 kmph expected in several areas tomorrow

Showers are expected at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts tomorrow (11), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Showers or thundershowers may occur in several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Mullaitivu district after 2:00 p.m.
Several spells of showers are also expected in the North Western Province.
Meanwhile, fairly strong winds of around 30–40 kmph may occur at times over the North Central, North Western, Central and Southern provinces and in the Trincomalee district.
The general public has been advised to take necessary precautions against possible damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
