Several spells of showers expected in parts of the island today

Showers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, today (11), the Department of Meteorology said.

 

Several spells of showers may occur in Western and North-western provinces, it added.

 

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva and eastern provinces and in Mullaitivu district after 2.00 p.m, according to the Met. Department.

 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
