Over 27,000 individuals inspected in island-wide police operations

Police stated that 587 suspects were arrested during daily search operations conducted island-wide to apprehend individuals involved in criminal activities and prevent drug-related offences.

 

Accordingly, 27,773 individuals were inspected yesterday (10), during which the suspects were taken into police custody.

 

Police further revealed that, among those arrested, 13 individuals were directly identified as being involved in criminal activities, while 138 individuals wanted on open warrants were also arrested.

 

Furthermore, during the search operation, police arrested 65 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol and 114 individuals for reckless driving.

 

Meanwhile, police noted that legal action was taken against 4,521 individuals for other traffic offences.
