Rainy weather expected across several provinces today
The Department of Meteorology has forecast several spells of showers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers are expected at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Mullaitivu district after 2.00 p.m.
The Department has urged the public to take necessary precautions against temporary localized strong winds and lightning that may occur during thunderstorms.
People in affected areas have been advised to remain vigilant and take appropriate safety measures during periods of adverse weather.
