Shooting incident reported in Weeraketiya

A 20-year-old youth was shot in front of his residence in the Agrahera area of Weeraketiya this morning, said Ada Derana reporter.

 

The bullet reportedly struck the youth in the thigh.

 

Following the incident, the injured youth was initially admitted to the Weeraketiya Hospital and was subsequently transferred to the Tangalle Base Hospital for further treatment.

 

Weeraketiya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
