One person killed in shooting incident in Mount Lavinia

The individual who was admitted to hospital after being shot and injured at Huludagoda Road in Mount Lavinia, has succumbed to injuries, a short while ago, police said.
Earlier, it was reported that an individual was injured and hospitalized following a shooting incident at Huludagoda Road, Mount Lavinia.
Police said that an unidentified gunman opened fire on the victim this evening (15) and that the injured person has been admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital.
The shooting incident had reportedly occurred at around 9.50 p.m. today inside a residence on Huludagoda Road.
The victim has been identified as a resident of Ragama.
