
Sri Lanka Police are seeking public assistance to apprehend three Chinese nationals wanted in connection with the assault of three Chinese nationals near the Colombo Port City and the subsequent abduction and murder of one of them.
The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) is conducting investigations into the incident, which occurred on July 23.
Two Chinese nationals suspected of involvement in the crime have already been arrested and are currently in remand custody, while investigations are underway to apprehend three other suspects.
Police investigations have revealed that the three wanted suspects are currently in Sri Lanka and that the tourist visas on which they entered the country have expired.
Police have warned that the suspects may attempt to leave the country illegally by air or sea and have released their photographs to the media in an effort to obtain information regarding their whereabouts in order to apprehend them.
Anyone with information that could assist in locating and arresting the suspects is requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge of the Colombo Crimes Division on ‘ 071 859 1735 ’, police said.
